First Dose COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments Available Beginning 9 a.m. Monday, March 1
Appointments Opening at Public Health Vaccination Sites and Special Vaccine Clinics Planned for Educators, Childcare, and Agricultural Industry Workers
With the arrival of additional vaccine supply, first dose vaccine appointments will be available at Public Health vaccination sites beginning Monday, March 1. These appointments will be available to Santa Barbara County residents who are emergency services, grocery, and Phase 1A health care workers. Separate clinics are taking place starting next week for educators, childcare, and the agriculture/food industry. Approximately 2,800 total first dose appointments will be available at Public Health vaccination sites in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, March 1, these eligible residents (emergency services, grocery, and Phase 1A health care workers) can schedule appointments for Public Health vaccination sites at publichealthsbc.org/covid-19-vaccine-appointment-registration/.
For assistance with appointment registration, those eligible may contact the County Call Center by dialing 2-1-1, select option #4. This line is available seven days a week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

For those ages 65 years and older, vaccine appointments will become available in the coming week at local pharmacies, health care providers and hospitals. The Santa Barbara County Public Health website has been updated to list all local pharmacies offering vaccinations and the registration information, found at publichealthsbc.org/vaccine or by dialing 2-1-1 and selecting option 4. This line is available seven days per week from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
